NOTE: the bits of the past are copyrighted by Jenny Nimmo and not owned by us in anyway.[/font]the endowed children . . .
the endowed are all descended from the ten children of the red king, a magician king who left africa in the twelfth century, accompanied by three leapords. he built his castle in a city in britain after marrying berenice.
the red king left his family and castle, the eve of his wife's death as was tradition for the men. when he came back from his grieving period, he found his castle at ruins and empty, and his children at war. for you see, each of his children had inherited his powers in some form or another, and they were using that amongst each other.
borlath could first hypnotise, that later disappeared to turn into fire.
amadis could communicate with animals.
lilith was magnetic. to both items and people.
guanhamara was a gentle girl whose powers would later, in centuries, be transformed into illusion and remembering, refeeling anything one wears that has been worn by another.
petrello could control the weather, including the tides, fog and storms.
tolemeo, while unknown what his was, was most likely a shapeshifter .
cafall the changer .
amoret could picture travel .
ashamed and distressed about what had become of his children, the king called upon his friend-- another magician-- and his three leopards. and with their help, the old and grieving king turned himself into a tree in the very heart of his castle ruins. and with that, his leopards were no longer the great majestic creatures but three flame colored cats who would help the children of the "good" in centuries to come.
even with the king's "death", the war continued. until borath obtained the castle of his dreams that killed the rest of his family. yet, however, even though the children that fled and were "good" had died--their children had not. for before they could all die, they each had obtained heirs and heirs to their powers.
the ancient war between the original ten has yet to end, and one must wonder if it ever will. whilst it's calmer through out the world, the origin of it all is still a great battle field. and bloor's academy just so happens to be the center of it all. as endowed children near and far congregate at the old site of the Red King's castle, where nearby the ruins still stand, for reasons beyond what we can say, the ancient war has only increased. with the new, powerful, and more dangerous powers on the lurk, what will become of the regular kids of Bloor's academy, and the surrounding city? the shadow behind the portrait of the Red King has been gone for fifty years, but a newer evil awaits in the shadows. even badlock could not compare. and it's not just against those "good" endowed this time round.
will an ancient war be put aside to save all their necks? or will it only cease to cause more trouble?[/sup][/blockquote]
